Mariam, a young poetess, finds herself trapped in a sleepy town, where every young girl's future lies in wedlock. Mariam hopes to find her freedom against all odds, by uploading her poetry on the internet through an anonymous account.Along with her band of misfits - Robo and Psy, Mariam discovers the power of her poetry and her own voice.

DJ Psy has introduced Ratlam to a new kind of music that is trending with the young. Mariam is in awe of his sound and his charm. Rafi believes this is what will revive the ailing New Modern Band. He invites Psy to join the band. Robo and gang are incensed at this subterfuge. Ismail, to placate flared tempers, calls for a 'Muqabala' between the New Modern Band and DJ Psy.
